So of course it doesn't cause a ripple on the left. Supporting these women might put phony American feminist's in danger, no matter how slight. Better to rail against imagined oppression in America without any possible real consequences.
Besides, what would criticism of this kind of thing, rampant in the Muslim world, do to the Religion of Multi-Culturalism?
But perhaps the most important reason that these women don't really matter is that the mainstream American feminist left it isn't really about fighting for women anymore.
It's about fighting to make yourself look superior and feel good. It's about personal mental health issues being played out, not real oppression.
These women, on the other hand, are about very real and physical health issues....like beatings, stonings and death.
