To celebrate her nomination to the court. Here's the Wise Latina saying that courts are where laws are MADE (not interpreted as is stated in that horribly outdated document, The Constitution. You know, the one she is s'posed to defend.) Lord, and take a gander at that smug, arrogant-yet-lookin' all-hung-over-n-hateful look she's got goin' on there. Just like the one me and everyone of my radical friends used to sport, back in the day (shudder).
People are starting to question Jugears' plans for our economic destruction. So as he has done time and time again, he trots out a nice distraction, so he dismantle our country in peace. Greg Gutfeld on what the distraction is this time:
So according to the Wall Street Journal, the CIA had been kicking around a secret plan designed to off al-Qaeda chieftains – something the Democrats say they were never told about.
The actual program was dropped early on – either because it was a dumb idea, or it didn’t work, or maybe something better came along. What bugs me is that the plan was probably canceled because it actually could work - but having to disclose the plan would have endangered those asked to carry it out.
I mean, if your job is to sneak around the globe killing really bad people, then it should be kept secret – which is something frowned upon by people who don’t understand that beating evil means eradicating it. We call them asshats. You see them now, trying to score political points out of something that didn’t even happen (although, I wish it did).
Which brings me to a handy quiz you can take while you’re on a bus, a train, or perhaps even a plane!
Of the two statements below, check off the one you most agree with:
-The thought of the CIA contemplating a secret plan to kill terrorists behind 9/11 strikes you as wrong – so wrong in fact that those involved in it should be investigated for war crimes.
-The thought of the CIA contemplating a secret plan to kill terrorists behind 9/11 strikes you as something the CIA is paid to do, and if they don’t do it, they should probably be fired or at least relegated to running the sexual harassment seminar in human resources.
If you agreed with the first statement, then get off that bus, train or plane. You don’t deserve to be there. After all, the very actions that you want to see prosecuted are the actions guaranteeing your safety on those modes of transportation.
You should travel by foot. And, if you’re in my neighborhood, be careful where you step. I have an active bladder. (Big Hollywood)

PRINTABLE TEA PARTY POSTERS!
For all you horrible, treasonous, racist, redneck, white trash peoples out there-
From The People's Cube.
"She's like the ex-girlfriend they're SO over, never want to see again, have already forgotten about -- really, it's O-ver -- but they just can't stop talking about her.
Liberal: Ha, ha ... Sarah who? She's over, she's toast, a future Trivial Pursuit answer, nothing more.
Normal person: Whatever. How about the North Korean missiles?
Liberal: Can you believe she just resigned the governorship like that? What a quitter!
Normal person: Speaking of quitting, how's work?
Liberal: Did you hear she might get a TV show? There's no way Sarah Palin's getting a TV show! No way! I can't believe stupid Sarah Palin could get her own stupid TV show now. Well, I'm sure not gonna watch it -- that's for sure!
Normal person: Have you seen all the Michael Jackson coverage on TV?
Liberal: How does she think she can run for president in 2012 if she can't finish her term as governor of a Podunk state? She's finished.
Normal person: OK, then! You won't have to vote for her.
Liberal: I was never going to vote for her! But now I'm not going to vote for her twice. And I will never watch her TV show. I am so over her".
(Ann Coulter)
Stalin would be proud. This is too important a story to not post on it again. Another of the growing number of articles on this subject is at North Star:
...last Tuesday when the powerful Democratic U.S. Rep. Henry Waxman proclaimed that opposition to Obama by Republican leadership signified that “they are rooting against the country.”.....It all began even prior to the most recent elections, when Obama and dozens of his Senate colleagues actually signed a letter labeling the words of Rush Limbaugh – a private citizen – “unpatriotic,” after Limbaugh criticized anti-war activists who falsely claimed to have fought in Iraq.
... it really kicked into high gear right once victory was assured in November. After pressure from President Bush and congressional Democrats to waste taxpayer cash on Detroit automakers failed to sway a group of Republican senators, Michigan’s Democratic Governor Jennifer Granholm deprecated the “behavior of these U.S. senators” as “un-American.” Democratic Congressman John Dingell more closely approached an allegation of treason when he declared: “Let’s be clear about what happened in the Senate: Senators from states where international automakers do considerable business unpatriotically blocked (the bill).” ...During the ongoing health care debate, the top aides to Democratic Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus threateningly warned Democratic lobbyists against having their clients attend a meeting with Senate Republicans. In the words of a Democratic lobbyist: “They said, ‘Republicans are having this meeting and you need to let all of your clients know if they have someone there, that will be viewed as a hostile act.’”
A “hostile act” to merely talk to the other side? Where are we, Iran?
Perhaps. In April, after hundreds of thousands of Americans very peacefully congregated at hundreds of Tea Parties around the country (one arrest, for standing in the middle of a street) in support of small government, David Axelrod, one of Obama’s closest advisors, announced that the Tea Party movement could mutate into something “unhealthy.” When pressed as to how such a peaceful expression of First Amendment rights could be called “unhealthy,” he refused to backtrack and instead added, “So far these are expressions.”
So far? What is that supposed to mean? Would he ever say that a peaceful left-wing movement is “so far” peaceful?
Of course not. Still, the administration decided that mere words were insufficient – the opposition had to be officially demonized in writing. Enter a threat assessment report released by the Obama Administration warning, with virtually zero evidence, that “right-wing extremism” in the form of opposition to illegal immigration, abortion, expanded social programs, expanded government, gun control, and gay marriage has the potential to translate into terrorism.
In other words, if you’re conservative, you are potentially a terrorist. Never have left-wing groups been attacked with such specificity even by the same Bush Administration that we have been instructed is the root of all partisanship, authoritarianism and pure evil.
Disagreeing with the Marxist destruction of America is treasonous. You have been warned.
B..b...b...b...ut, he was racist....or sumthin.....that CAN'T be!
Maybe I shouldn't laugh at them, but it's always fun to watch idiots run into a wall.
From Gateway Pundit:
Obama says the recovery will take months. But we should trust him. M'kay.
Barack Obama on July 2, 2009:U.S. President Barack Obama said on Thursday there were signs that the "economic storm" that has made millions jobless was waning, but warned that it would still take the United States many months to recover.Ten days later...
The recovery will take years not months.
Barack Obama on July 9, 2009:Obama: Recovery Will Take Years Not Months.
"It was, from the start, a two-year program, and it will steadily save and create jobs as it ramps up over this summer and fall."
Its been my experience that a construction worker with a high school degree is generally much smarter than a person with a doctorate in English.
Victor Volsky:
Intelligent idiots, smart fools, multi-degreed morons - lots of monikers could describe a category of individuals dismayingly prominent in the ruling elites of the West. They are the people so divorced from reality, so engrossed in bookish pursuits that - for all their undoubted intellectual accomplishments and often as a direct consequence thereof - they invariably end up with egg on their faces whenever they try to engage in practical activities.
Worse yet, they idolize each other, sticking up for one another out of class solidarity. ...
It is a common mistake of intellectuals to confuse IQ with common sense and verbal fluency with leadership qualities. They are simply unable to comprehend that academic success does not necessarily translate into a firm grasp on reality; the knack for endlessly bloviating on an abstruse subject does not automatically imply administrative ability; an academic degree is not a substitute for practical experience; and a professors' lounge is not a corporate boardroom....
So what do they bring to the administration other than long resumes and fearsome reputations as intellectual polemicists? All these brilliant academics have been brought on board for the sole purpose of lending an intellectual veneer to Obama's political schemes and validate his power grab. Hence the pitiful sight of these noted intellectuals being trotted out to the microphones to bleat pathetically in defense of the administration's agenda.
This explains the so-called Republicans out bashing Sarah Palin. She's not part of the club, and yet she is infinitely more popular, and so threatening to their fragile self-esteem. Perhaps if their sense of self were based on reality instead of floating ivory towers with absolutely no foundations, they would be able to relax a little.
If you want to see intelligence, go to a Tea Party. There is a reason that the idiot intelligentsia ridicule them.
Speaking in Russia about the cold war, from WSJ:
Competition in everything from astrophysics to athletics was treated as a zero-sum game. If one person won, then the other person had to lose. And then within a few short years, the world as it was ceased to be. Make no mistake: This change did not come from any one nation. The Cold War reached a conclusion because of the actions of many nations over many years, and because the people of Russia and Eastern Europe stood up and decided that its end would be peaceful."
And then the Toothfairy flew down and sprinkled magic pixie dust on all of the peoples.
Says Ms. Cheny:
The basis of the Cold War was not "competition in astrophysics and athletics." It was a global battle between tyranny and freedom. The Soviet "sphere of influence" was delineated by walls and barbed wire and tanks and secret police to prevent people from escaping. America was an unmatched force for good in the world during the Cold War. The Soviets were not. The Cold War ended not because the Soviets decided it should but because they were no match for the forces of freedom and the commitment of free nations to defend liberty and defeat Communism.
I guess she doesn't know that good and evil have ceased to exist as concepts. If we delete the words then PRESTO! reality changes.

You prolly need a little more after reading the post below. From Hot Air about the latest Rasussen poll:
The difference between strongly approving and strongly disapproving of Barack Obama’s job performance slipped three points overnight, bringing it to -8 and showing an accelerating decline in Obama’s overall supportOvernight. God I hope people are waking up!
It sounds like some nut job paranoid fantasy, but they keep moving that way.
Ed Morrissey:
Would Congress ever pass legislation that would allow the executive to determine at its own discretion whether political opponents had crossed the line into domestic terrorists and build camps in which to keep them? Sounds like something out of 20th-century totalitarian systems or dystopian fiction. Mark Tapscott says it’s not fiction, and he warns readers about an effort by Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) to do just that...
Read the whole thing, if you think its a joke. I guarantee you won't be laughing.
"Patriotic," democrats that ascribe to the Tellytubbies theory of national defense, have been desperate to find a distraction from The One's policies having put our economy in free-fall.
They found it. A phony "the CIA lied" story and a show trial.
Of course its BS, but that's not the point.
Andy McCarthy, from NRO:
...congressional Democrats knew about the program and knew that the dissent of the Justice Department's senior leadership in 2004 was not about warrantless surveillance. They knew that if they postured that the dissent was about warrantless surveillance, Gonzales — not an adept communicator — would not be able to rebut them in a public hearing because the details of the dispute were classified. Congressional Democrats also knew that President Bush agreed to make changes in the program in March 2004 to assuage DOJ's concerns, and they knew that the program activities continued thereafter for a year-and-a-half (i.e., until the Times blew part of the program) without incident and with bipartisan congressional leadership continuing to be briefed.Of course, having been kept from another attack is immaterial and as we all know, now we don't need protection because Jugears has been running around bowing and apologizing. Bad people are not really bad. They just need a friend, and Der Messiah's love is giving them all they need not to want to ever hurt us again.

When it comes to the First Amendment, Team Obama believes in Global Chilling.
Cass Sunstein, a Harvard Law professor who has been appointed to a shadowy post that will grant him powers that are merely mind-boggling, explicitly supports using the courts to impose a "chilling effect" on speech that might hurt someone's feelings. He thinks that the bloggers have been rampaging out of control and that new laws need to be written to corral them.
......"Although obscure," reported the Wall Street Journal, "the post wields outsize power. It oversees regulations throughout the government, from the Environmental Protection Agency to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Obama aides have said the job will be crucial as the new administration overhauls financial-services regulations, attempts to pass universal health care and tries to forge a new approach to controlling emissions of greenhouse gases."
Sunstein was appointed, no doubt, off the success of "Nudge," his previous book, which suggests that government ought to gently force people to be better human beings.
Czar is too mild a world for what Sunstein is about to become. How about "regulator in chief"? How about "lawgiver"? He is Obama's Obama. (Read it all in the NYPost)
Did you get this line: "government ought to gently force people to be better human beings."
You will say what we tell you you can say. Non-approved speech will be punished.
This is the left's utopia.
It's a cultural difference. What are ya, some kinda xenophobic Amerikkkan imperialist?!
That's the rational for killing babies, and the left makes a HUGE deal out of it.
So it's kind of strange that the left has NO problem with this, as observed by Mark Steyn:
Government medical care means the government has nationalized your body.
(via Maggie's Farm)
Well, ok, he wasn't really bald faced with that whip cream and jello all over 'im, but still.....
Builds strong teeth and bones!
From Tim Geithner:
Noting the rising unemployment, Geithner said what the economy "is going through is a very necessary and healthy adjustment as [Americans] go back to living within their means." He added: "We do not have an economy that is growing again." (CongressDaily)
Wonder if it eliminates fine lines and wrinkles too? I gotta get me some o' that there no-damn-job stuff and start really livin'!
Oh but wait....The One just said that the economy is doin' great! I'm so confused. I want to be healthy. Do you think I'd get the same health benefits if I just quit my job instead of being laid off? It's so hard to know what to do!
Steal more money and kick old people in the teeth:
House Democrats agreed Friday to raise taxes by about $550 billion to pay
for their sweeping expansion of the nation’s health care system. The huge tax increase will only pay for about half the cost of the Democrats’ health spending plans, so according to the New York Times, the Democrats will also cut Medicare spending, the government health plan for the elderly, and other health care savings to pay for the rest of the $trillion-plus health care spending spree.
The top federal tax rate is now 35 percent, but Democrats have vowed to raise it to 39.6 percent next year. The Washington Post quotes Robert Carroll, a senior fellow at the nonprofit Tax Foundation, as saying that combined with other federal tax adjustments, the Democrats’ new health care spending tax increase could leave some taxpayers facing top federal rates of at least 45 percent. (Redstate)
And not the phony one from Tellytubbie-land that President Jugears lives in:
Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They've also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education. (Rasmussen)
From Newsbusters:
The administration’s “Green Jobs” czar, Van Jones, has a “very checkered past” deep-rooted in radical politics, including black nationalism, anarchism, and communism. The broadcast network newscasts have mostly failed to report on Mr. Jones’s past political affiliations which are lock-step with the network’s downplay of coverage regarding President Obama’s associations with the former radical and terrorist William Ayers during the election.
At 6:47 a.m. EDT on the July 10 edition of “Fox and Friends,” Americans for Prosperity Policy Director Phil Kerpen, told interviewer Brian Kilmeade that Jones is “somebody who was involved in radical politics in San Francisco, “who was self-admittedly “radicalized in jail” and found “Communism and anarchism.” Kerpen compares Van Jones’s Communist past with his new quest for environmentalism and the creation of green jobs...
But of course, like The Rev. Wright that preaches Cone's Marxist Christianity, the "global warming czar Carol Browner's membership in Socialist International and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers in whose living room The One launched his career, Van Jones is just someone he happens to know.
No pattern here. Doesn't mean a thing. Just close your eyes and listen to the sooothing voice!
Actually, Van Jones' transition to the green movement is perfect, since it is all about total control of the population, but is much more achievable, not having to use the word "communism" to bring about communism.

18 MILLION OF YOUR MONEY FOR A WEBSITE
And not just any website. It's for Recovery.gov- the site that's supposed to show you how the Obamunist regime is NOT wasting your money. (Say Anything)
Yup.
A big enough lie repeated often and loud enough will be taken as the truth. The Obamunists know this and use it well with the slobbering compliance of the lap-dog media.
Once again, I had to listen to someone telling me last night that the economic meltdown was Bush's fault. Facts be damned.
Thanks to CBW, I found this from a post at Digital Publius:
This crisis began with the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a collapse that could have been avoided if the democratic congress had acted according to the recommendations made by the president as early as 2001 and dealt with Freddie and Fannie.Wonder how pissed people will be if they ever wake up enough to realize they have been played?
Facts compiled from the White House official website http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/09/20080919-15.html
2001
April: The Administration's FY02 budget declares that the size of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is "a potential problem," because "financial trouble of a large GSE could cause strong repercussions in financial markets, affecting Federally insured entities and economic activity."
2002
May: The President calls for the disclosure and corporate governance principles contained in his 10-point plan for corporate responsibility to apply to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. (OMB Prompt Letter to OFHEO, 5/29/02)
2007
July: Two Bear Stearns hedge funds invested in mortgage securities collapse.
August: President Bush emphatically calls on Congress to pass a reform package for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, saying "first things first when it comes to those two institutions. Congress needs to get them reformed, get them streamlined, get them focused, and then I will consider other options." (President George W. Bush, Press Conference, The White House, 8/9/07)
September: RealtyTrac announces foreclosure filings up 243,000 in August – up 115 percent from the year before.
September: Single-family existing home sales decreases 7.5 percent from the previous month – the lowest level in nine years. Median sale price of existing homes fell six percent from the year before.
December: President Bush again warns Congress of the need to pass legislation reforming GSEs, saying "These institutions provide liquidity in the mortgage market that benefits millions of homeowners, and it is vital they operate safely and operate soundly. So I've called on Congress to pass legislation that strengthens independent regulation of the GSEs – and ensures they focus on their important housing mission. The GSE reform bill passed by the House earlier this year is a good start. But the Senate has not acted. And the United States Senate needs to pass this legislation soon." (President George W. Bush, Discusses Housing, The White House, 12/6/07)
2008
January: Bank of America announces it will buy Countrywide.
January: Citigroup announces mortgage portfolio lost $18.1 billion in value.
February: Assistant Secretary David Nason reiterates the urgency of reforms, says "A new regulatory structure for the housing GSEs is essential if these entities are to continue to perform their public mission successfully." (David Nason, Testimony On Reforming GSE Regulation, Senate Committee On Banking, Housing And Urban Affairs, 2/7/08)
March: Bear Stearns announces it will sell itself to JPMorgan Chase.
March: President Bush calls on Congress to take action and "move forward with reforms on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They need to continue to modernize the FHA, as well as allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to homeowners to refinance their mortgages." (President George W. Bush, Remarks To The Economic Club Of New York, New York, NY, 3/14/08)
April: President Bush urges Congress to pass the much needed legislation and "modernize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. [There are] constructive things Congress can do that will encourage the housing market to correct quickly by … helping people stay in their homes." (President George W. Bush, Meeting With Cabinet, the White House, 4/14/08)
May: President Bush issues several pleas to Congress to pass legislation reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac before the situation deteriorates further.
•"Americans are concerned about making their mortgage payments and keeping their homes. Yet Congress has failed to pass legislation I have repeatedly requested to modernize the Federal Housing Administration that will help more families stay in their homes, reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure they focus on their housing mission, and allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to refinance sub-prime loans." (President George W. Bush, Radio Address, 5/3/08)
•"[T]he government ought to be helping creditworthy people stay in their homes. And one way we can do that – and Congress is making progress on this – is the reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. That reform will come with a strong, independent regulator." (President George W. Bush, Meeting With The Secretary Of The Treasury, the White House, 5/19/08)
•"Congress needs to pass legislation to modernize the Federal Housing Administration, reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure they focus on their housing mission, and allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to refinance subprime loans." (President George W. Bush, Radio Address, 5/31/08)
June: As foreclosure rates continued to rise in the first quarter, the President once again asks Congress to take the necessary measures to address this challenge, saying "we need to pass legislation to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac." (President George W. Bush, Remarks At Swearing In Ceremony For Secretary Of Housing And Urban Development, Washington, D.C., 6/6/08)
July: Congress heeds the President's call for action and passes reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as it becomes clear that the institutions are failing.
Yet the mainstream press has laid this crisis at the feet of the president. And an ill informed public has swallowed they’re story hook line and sinker. Just as the people of Germany took Hitler’s bait.
Conservative Black Woman quotes Digital Publius:
...As for racism, without it there would be no Democratic party. Racism drives the democratic party. You have the liberal Democrat, (White or Black) who is perhaps the most racist human being on earth who is so convinced of the inferiority of the minorities in America (even when he is one) he is compelled to help them by lowering standards so they can compete with their betters. This of course ends when it comes to rubber meeting the road programs like school vouchers where it would put their little Suzy in direct contact with a child from a family really seeking to improve that child’s lot by allowing them to contend on an even playing field, can’t have that.
Then you have the Original Democrats, these are folks that know the origin of the Democratic party. They know that it was the Democrats who started the Klu Klux Klan, with the express purpose of terrorizing black voters and to keep them from voting for the party that freed them. The O.D.s are the ones that still remember it was the Democrats during the civil rights movement that turned on the fire hoses and loosed the dogs on the civil rights activists in the 50s and 60s. It was the Democrats that raised the Confederate battle flag over all the municipal buildings in the south.
The O.D.s know that the party simply changed tactics when they lost the civil rights struggle, instead of beating and lynching people, they began to implement programs that stemmed the tide of independent minority progress both socially and economically, while appearing to be the party of the black man. Since we began to vote en masse for the democrats can we as the black community honestly say we are better off? With 70 percent of our children now being born out of wedlock and the highest teen pregnancy rate in the country? With our young men disproportionately represented in the nations jails and prisons and killing themselves in violent criminal activity in staggering numbers? This was not the case during my parents time nor was it the case when I was a kid in the 70’s when the liberal programs were just getting started, we are only now really seeing the bitter harvests that those programs are yielding...
(via Pookie's Toons)You'd think this was a hoax. Its not. From Gateway Pundit:
Barack Obama's "Science Czar" John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology co-authored a book in 1977.Really. What other regime in the past had a "science czar" like this?
In the book Holdren wrote that:** Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not
** The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food
** Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise
** People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility
Do you remember Germany in the 30's? The Bookworm Room does:
...People of goodwill have always envisioned a place in which everyone lives in harmony and material comfort. War is gone. Hunger is gone. Each community is a perfect amalgam of density and space, allowing for high functionality and rural aesthetics that flow effortlessly into each other. Heaven on earth.
The only problem with this whole Heaven on earth thing, of course, is those pesky humans. Humans are erratic. Some have the temerity to be born smart and some dumb; some are placid, some feisty; some strong, some weak; some submissive, some aggressive. Whole cultures are poisoned by these variables. The people who keep giving into their base human nature are making perfection impossible.
For many, the solution to these impossible humans has been a strong hand: Hitler promised perfection, as did Mussolini, Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot and Stalin. Humans — damn their imperfect hearts — could be corralled into virtue, and if corralling didn’t work, killing would suffice.
Given the effort it takes to force humans to be perfect, all of these Statists, without exception, realized that some humans simply weren’t worth the effort it would take to perfect them. They were in the way. How much better, then, simply to rid the world of them before they even became nascent....

(with vid link at Radio Equalizer)FEMALE CALLER (31:50): He (Michael Jackson) is truly the soundtrack of my life. I also have a theory about Sarah Palin as well and I’m going to put it out there on radio, hopefully someone can investigate.
But, I think maybe she did something to Michael Jackson. Maybe there’s a scandal there. Maybe she’s stepping down because something’s about to come out. I don’t know, but I’m gonna just put it out there on your show so we’ll see.
SHARPTON: All right, thank you for your call, Ashley. That’s interesting. I’ll put it out, we’ll see. I don’t know.
Is it really interesting, Al, or certifiably nutty? Sharpton has cooked up so many conspiracies over the years that it's no wonder his listeners feel comfortable sharing them on his program.
New York (of course):
During the first five months of this year, with the Senate under the control of its first African-American majority leader, Smith, top Democrats bemoaned the lack of minority Senate staffers.
But instead of trying to recruit new hires, they fired nearly 200 almost exclusively white workers and replaced them with a large number of minority employees, many of whom were seen by their fellow workers to be unskilled at their new jobs.
The move produced severe racial tensions, made worse by the fact that, as a high-level Democratic staffer confided, "We've been told to only hire minorities.'' (NYPost)
So its no big deal that The One released 4 men who,
were agents of Iran responsible for organizing and directing terror cells in Iraq. Hundreds of US servicemen and women and thousands of innocent Iraqis died horribly because of them. What these Iranians did were war crimes, from the killing of civilians to the execution of prisoners. They likely took part in operations themselves; in fact the attackers in Karbala were so expertly disguised as American soldiers their equipment and vehicles were very likely supplied directly by Iran. (American Thinker)I know this sounds unreal. Go to the link and check it out.
One sick bastard. That's our Messiah! All this should make Americans realize just what kind of people are in the White House and in Congress. They do not respect or honor our foundational principles; they do not respect or honor America's values. You do not let a crime go unpunished. You do not reward evil; it cannot be appeased. We will inherit no goodwill; we will enjoy no diplomatic concessions; we are the "great Satan" to the regime in Teheran and treating with us is an immoral act. Their ideology and their policies are based on hatred. To think otherwise is not merely naïve, it is idiotic.
We are in the awful situation were an American President and his administration sides with our enemies, where crimes against us are ignored for petty political gain.
(via Pookie's Toons)Frank J. Flemming has a interesting theory:
The leading theory on why Obama hates and wants to destroy the economy is its focus on merit, which is an anathema to Obama. In a capitalistic society, you need products that actually do useful things so you can sell them and make money. You can make all the claims you want, but at some point people are going to expect the product to actually do something.
That has to be a foreign concept to someone who has written multiple autobiographies before ever actually accomplishing anything. He expects people to take his word that he’s really smart and great without ever having to do anything to prove it. That doesn’t work in our economy; think of the Amazon.com reviews he’d have if he were a product. Yes, a few people would think he looked neat and preorder, but soon he’d have a bunch of one-star reviews saying, “Doesn’t actually do anything. Don’t waste trillions of dollars on it.” You can see how Obama might be angry at something that would find no value in him, like the economy.
Sure fits in with his pathologically narcissistic personality.
T.K. Farrow on The Lunatic in Chief, on The One's speech in Moscow:
“The pursuit of power is no longer a zero-sum game — progress must be shared,” the president said in one breath. But minutes later, he announced that “the arc of history shows us that governments which serve their own people survive and thrive; governments that serve their own power do not.”
Well, which one is it? Is he confused?
And this:
Obama states that governments that serve their own power will probably not survive, but he doesn’t seem to recognize Manuel Zelaya’s government as being one of those doomed entities. The Honduran president was attempting to unconstitutionally remain in office longer than the one term the government allows him. When the army successfully gained control of the government, Zelaya’s own party supported the congressional vote to replace him, according to the Associated Press.
If the U.S. is not to interfere in the affairs of other nations, why is Obama negatively judging the means by which the Honduran government has chosen to rectify a blatantly unconstitutional act by its president? Why is it more appropriate to support Zelaya than it was to support Mousavi supporters in Iran?
The conclusion?
...the president is an idealist. He’s a peace and love man of the highest order trying to remake the world. But idealism without intellect is a waste of time and energy, at best, and has the potential to create multiple catastrophes. When Barack Obama speaks, the emanating sound is that of a high school valedictorian who thinks he knows so much more than he actually does — but is too young to realize how little he knows. That quality may be endearing to his supporters, but it’s infuriating to those of us who prefer that the president of our nation not sound like a wistful teenager.Nothing worse than an arrogant pin head.
It's about control!
Washington, D.C.-During a hearing today in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, EPA Administrator Jackson confirmed an EPA analysis showing that unilateral U.S. action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions would have no effect on climate. Moreover, when presented with an EPA chart depicting that outcome, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he disagreed with EPA's analysis.
"I believe the central parts of the [EPA] chart are that U.S. action alone will not impact world CO2 levels," Administrator Jackson said.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) presented the chart to both Jackson and Secretary Chu, which shows that meaningful emissions reductions cannot occur without aggressive action by China, India, and other developing countries. "I am encouraged that Administrator Jackson agrees that unilateral action by the U.S. will be all cost for no climate gain," Sen. Inhofe said. "With China and India recently issuing statements of defiant opposition to mandatory emissions controls, acting alone through the job-killing Waxman-Markey bill would impose severe economic burdens on American consumers, businesses, and families, all without any impact on climate." (U.S. Senate committee on environment and public works)
Think this will stop them? Three guesses....
More from Michelle Malkin. Who to email, call and write to here.
Even some of those who fell for the climate hoax are turning against cap and tax:
In a stunning rebuke of the Obama administration, NASA's James Hansen, one of the world's foremost climate alarmists, called the American Clean Energy and Security Act, the anti-global warming bill that recently passed the House, "less than worthless."
Not only that, he referred to it as a "counterfeit climate bill" that employs a "Ponzi-like 'cap-and-trade' scheme" setting the nation on a "disaster course" as a result of the 219 members of Congress he accused of voting for it without reading it. (Newsbusters)

WHY I LOVE HER
John Zeigler knows Sarah Palin pretty well and has an excellent piece about her resignation. From the article:
the most insane element of the reaction to Palin’s resignation is the complete inability of the vast majority of the press — and at least some of the public — to even comprehend the possibility that she just might be telling the truth about how and why she came to this decision. This will evidently come as a complete shock to nearly every member of the media elite, but not everyone in public life is a manipulative and cynical liar, and not every person who has a shot at being President must live their lives to pursue that end no matter the costs to the public good, their family and their personal sanity. The Sarah Palin I know is at least one person in that position who is sufficiently well-grounded and secure enough in themselves and their values to not succumb to this illness of hyper-ambition. She is more than capable of putting something else above her own selfish, short-term political self-interest. You would think that a just society might reward that kind of person and not crucify them, but it has been long since clear that we don’t live in that kind of place.
The bottom line is that Sarah Palin resigned simply because she was no longer allowed to do her job in a way that benefited her state and family. She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources and doom it to gridlock. She knew that it would also continue to cost her family hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend against false and maliciously filed ethics complaints. And she had simply had enough of her children being fodder for inappropriate public attacks. ...
Sarah Palin simply came to the “remarkable” conclusion that stepping down was the right thing to do for the greater good. How sad is it that so many in media (including a whole lot of “conservatives”) can’t even begin to see this obvious reality.
Truly admirable and decent people can't even be conceived of anymore, and if the powers that be get an inkling that someone may fit that description, they decide that they must be destroyed.
Evil hates good. Good makes evil feeeeel bad, and as we all know, our feeeeelings are all that matter now, not our actions.
It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.
Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family....
Marshall said:
''I'm lucky. They didn't break my ribs or bruise my ribs. I thank God, they concentrated on my thick head because I do have one. They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically.''
After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off.
Here's the good part:
Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime... (Ohio.com)
Shocker. BILLIONS of the "stimulus" money went to supporters of Der Messiah:

McCain Supporting Counties-- $34 per person
(Gateway Pundit)
Obey and you'll be alright.
Refuse and you'll be labelled a "potential terrorist."
I sure liked it when we were still American....(sigh)
As more and more people become hip to the hoax, the volume of the screeching goes up while clowns like Al Gore descend into self-parody. He should be happy. We will get cap and tax and the government will get closer to complete control over our lives. That was the whole point of the hoax in the first place and their goal is in sight, now that we have a wanna-be Totalitarian Marxist as our leader and savior. He should relax and be happy.
From Daled Amos:
George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists...
In point of fact, Obama has not only engaged with terrorists--he has released terrorists.
Conservative Grapevine:
President Obama springs terrorists so often that you'd almost think some of his best friends were terrorists.
For real. Who woulda thought?

(via Chris Matthews' Leg)Welcome to Foreign Policy 2009. We're cutting our nukes with Russia in an increasingly nuclear world....holding hands and skipping across to Teletubby land! Hoo-ray!
Like totalitarian dictatorships everywhere (cf North Korea), the
Soviet UnionRussia will simply claim they have made the required reductions, when in fact they are likely increasing their numbers. They have done this time and again. And the Reagan enunciated policy of ‘Доверяй, но проверяй’ (trust but verify) simply does not work.
It is next to impossible to verify such details. (Something we should have learned from North Korea, Iran and even Iraq.)
"We resolve to reset U.S.-Russian relations so that we can cooperate more effectively in areas of common interest," Obama said.
Like Georgia, North Korea, Iran, the price of oil, missile defense?
They also promised fresh cooperation on public health issues and revived a joint commission to try to account for missing service members of both countries dating back to World War II…
It is to laugh.
The
Soviet UnionRussians stand diametrically opposed to the United States on every issue. This is not an accident. It is a matter of policy. The dictator Mr. Putin views Russia’s national interest as being diametrically opposite to ours. And no amount of honeyed words will change that.
History may not repeat itself, but stupidity sure does. (Sweetness and Light)
See his just found college paper on the subject. Revealing, no?
Garsh, wonder why an orgy of entitlement spending, enviro nuttiness and pc bullshit have brought CA to the point of having to issue IOU's?
Do you think the situation they are in might finally wake them up?
Think again.
They are spending time apologizing to Chinese people that died 150 years ago.
As I've said before. It's no longer left wing politics. It's become a mental health issue.
FINALLY! A FITTING TRIBUTE!
From What Bubba Knows:
Finally, I've found it in my heart to do a goodbye tribute to Michael Jackson.
To the freak that converted to Islam, and then wore a woman's burka (and dressed his son in a woman's veil) ... Good.Frikkin.Bye
Yes. There's a movement to repeal the 22nd amendment limiting a president to two terms.
Dr. Sanity (who is sadly taking an extended break from blogging):
... if you do listen to Obama's rhetoric, then before you swoon in ecstasy, notice how self-referential and fundamentally narcissistic everything he says is. It is always about him first and foremost. His lovely words are fluid in both form and substance; and he has perfected the art of postmodern demagoguery.
But the whole point of postmodern rhetoric is to obscure and hide the truth or reality. You can hide behind such rhetoric ("it depends on what the meaning of 'is' is" for example), but the key is to watch the behavior.
Obama's behavior has been extremely consistent--consistently leftist and socialist; consistently supportive of thugs and dictators; consistently an example of the 'end justifies the means'.
Don't think it can't happen here; it is happening as we speak; and half our population is aiding, abetting, and loving it.
”As corny as it sounds,” he told the troops, “Damn, I’m proud to be an American!”
Ned Rice responds:
...if you were really proud to be an American, Mr. Vice President, you wouldn’t find it necessary to preface that declaration with the words, “as corny as it sounds”. If you were really proud to be an American those words wouldn’t sound corny to you. Then again, if you were really proud to be an American you wouldn’t be serving under a President who spent his last trip overseas apologizing to the world on behalf of America. You wouldn’t be serving under a President who either doesn’t recognize or simply doesn’t understand the concept of American exceptionalism.Yup. It's corny as hell to love your country. Only dumb hick rednecks say stuff like that.
.....
if there’s one person, in one scenario, who should never, ever feel that it’s corny to be proud to be an American, it would be:- The Vice President of the United States.
(there's more)
- Surrounded by hundreds of U.S. servicemen and women.
- Who have just become U.S. citizens.
- In a war zone.
- On Independence Day.
- You stupid moron, you.
Now that it's too late. Seem he feels the military is evil, for one thing. Check out the loony-ness. Feel safer now?
"If the implications were not so serious, the discrepancy between Mr. Obama's plans and real-world conditions would be hilarious," said Frank J. Gaffney Jr., a Reagan-era Pentagon official who directs the Center for Security Policy, a private group in Washington.

THE CONSTITUTION IS OPTIONAL
What kind of mentality is running the country now, when statements like this are casually made, like they're no big deal?
With the clock running out on a new US-Russian arms treaty before the previous Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START, expires on December 5, a senior White House official said Sunday said that the difficulty of the task might mean temporarily bypassing the Senate’s constitutional role in ratifying treaties by enforcing certain aspects of a new deal on an executive levels and a “provisional basis” until the Senate ratifies the treaty. (American Thinker)
To be fair, The Obamunist did say it was a "fundamentally flawed" document, so I guess no one should be surprised.
It's only the Constitution. It pales in comparison to the glory of The One!
Would you put your kids through this disgusting crap?
J.R. Dunn has the only piece about this that makes any sense to me.
He's absolutely correct about many things concerning her. As revolting as the typical liberal hatred towards her kids has been, it hasn't been just them:
what about her greater obligations? To that of conservatism as a movement, for instance? It happens to have been the movement conservatives -- at least those of the Northeast Corridor, who on the basis of tradition consider themselves to be the core of the movement -- who led the charge against Palin on her selection as vice-presidential candidate. Not the left. Not the mass media. But conservatives (I won't add quotes -- not yet, anyway) such as Frum, Parker, and Brooks, who found her to be just the slightest touch déclassé. She did not understand the Modern Dance. Her taste in claret was undependable. Her reading of the Federalist No. 63 was, shall we say, idiosyncratic? These people have no call on her whatsoever. And the GOP? Doesn't she owe her party anything? Just a few short days after her youngest daughter was humiliated on one of the most widely-watched late-night shows in the country, an obvious hit piece appeared in that balanced journal of the higher intellect, Vanity Fair, in which certain unnamed GOP officials revealed the true Sarah Palin: Sarah as Michael Jackson, Sarah the narcissist, who lived in a dream world and was overwhelmed by "demons". The fact that GOP figures would cooperate with a rag like Vanity Fair in the first place puts a period to any talk of a party connection. The GOP obviously has an agenda. It is not Sarah Palin's agenda. Nor, more than likely, ours either.
Time for them to go.
The United States is opposed to enacting a new set of financial sanctions against Iran that are due to be discussed in the G8 summit next week, diplomatic officials in New York reported Friday. (link)
No, it's not a fake news story.
A DEATH SENTENCE WILL DO THAT TO YA.....But there's still hope:
Despite the results of the 2008 presidential election, Americans, by a 2-to-1 margin, say their political views in recent years have become more conservative rather than more liberal, 39% to 18%, with 42% saying they have not changed. While independents and Democrats most often say their views haven't changed, more members of all three major partisan groups indicate that their views have shifted to the right rather than to the left. (Gallup)
And this:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 33% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack
Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-five percent (35%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –2 (see trends).A look at the month-by-month numbers for the Approval Index highlights longer-term trends that sometimes gets lost in the statistical noise of daily numbers. Also, check out our review of last week’s key polls to see “What They Told Us.” (Rasmussen)
Hope it happens fast enough before it's too late....
This guy thinks the silky-smooth coating of Der Messiah's lies may just wear off.
First we were treated to the battle of the low-life race-hustlers over who would speak at famous child-molester Michael Jackson's funeral. Because a guy who bleached himself white and messes with little kids deserves to be honored as a spokesman for the entire black race....or sumthin....
Now one of these creeps is demanding a postage stamp honoring him.
Can someone please tell me how anyone can take these guys seriously?!

(get it HERE)It's happened. Its The Church of Gaia, and the fact of it's being a religion makes it immune to any scientific or rational analysis.
Roger's Rules:
the mesmerizing power of this version of paganism on the collective consciousness of our secular elites: too sophisticated to subscribe openly to traditional religion but who nonetheless yearned for a token of spiritual uplift with which they could flatter themselves and impress others. They hate religion while being blind to their intense, irrational religious zealotry. How convenient too, for wanna-be Totalitarians like The One. There can never be enough control. There can never be enough intrusion into our lives. Then there was the immense political advantage of environmentalism. As the “cap-n’-tax” (also known as “Cap and Trade”) attack on the coal industry shows, environmentalism offers an essentially limitless opportunity for ambitious politicians. Indeed, its advantages are threefold. Since you can never be green enough, an environmental policy can always be made increasingly stringent in order 1) to increase taxes 2) to make government more intrusive and 3) to enhance the emotion of virtue among the environmentally elect.
You don't hate the planet, do you?
I know, I know, they can't admit to themselves that they hate it. I sure as hell never could. It came a shock when I finally saw the evil that I had for so long supported in the name of good.
Why is it so hard to get through to them with common sense?
Tim Slagle at Big Hollywood:
Democrats don’t have to listen to Rush, (or Fox News either) because there are other people charged with that task. Organizations like Media Matters do all the dirty work then translate it for all the Lefties. So they never have to soil their mind by exposing it to a contrary opinions, or risk being converted to Conservatism. (For some reason, people on the Left believe they are incredibly susceptible to brainwashing, so they feel it is better not to listen to anything contrary.)And a something I'm always harping on:
....There is nothing more secure to Democrats than a big bureaucracy–it makes them feel safe. Perhaps that’s why so many of them linger on in colleges longer than the average American. Inefficient bureaucracies and musty old buildings with union swept halls are warm fuzzy places for them. These people are the kind that like being looked after–it is the natural state of the Left.
They want to live under a huge bureaucracy that will direct their life, from the time they are born into a government hospital through their time in government schools, then punch the clock at a government job until a government appointed doctor gives them an assisted suicide. A Democrat Utopia would be like a human zoo where the lions are kept separate from the zebras, every one is fed, and the doctor comes round once a year. Just keep re-electing Democrats who will insure the air is clean, your food is safe, your retirement is secure, and the tithe is paid.
That’s a big one. When you decide to become a Democrat, the need for you to ever contribute to charity is completely eliminated. Every election cycle Democrat candidates are exposed for being skinflints when the 1040s are released....
The Party is their Church and the leaders are their clerics. Why should Al Gore give more than a couple hundred bucks to charitable causes when he has made his life work saving the earth from prosperity? They belong to the Church of Fundamentalist Leftism. Rationality has no place. As Harvey Mansfield has said, "Environmentalism is school prayer for liberals" (thanks to PJMedia)
Klavan has more on what it's like to try to reason with a leftist. He compares it to his confusion after being verbally assulted by a schizophrenic on the street:
Arguing with a leftist is something like that. Used to civilized debate with liberals and conservatives alike, you can’t quite take in what’s happening at first. Your ideas and observations are met with screeching venomous diatribes and personal attacks and you think, oh my goodness, have I said something untoward? It takes a moment before you realize, no, not at all. You have simply disturbed a cherished fantasy world and the resultant rage is a form of recognition that your ideas, if not always right, at least relate to reality and thus threaten to undermine the leftist’s chimerical sense of personal virtue.Maybe in the end, its not that they hate freedom so much as that they love slavery and delusion. Our only hope is that their vestigial American soul will someday, once again, become functional, they'll grow up and grow a pair.Having nary a philosophical leg to stand on, the arguing leftist, to borrow a phrase from Ken Kesey’s One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, “wants to win by making you weaker instead of making himself stronger.” So, instead of facts and observations to support his side, it’s all ad hominem attacks meant to shame, frighten or delegitimize you. We’re all wearily familiar with their insults by now: you’re a racist, you’re a sexist, you’re homophobe, you’re a fascist. A man can’t support his nation’s war effort because he’s not a veteran. A woman can’t write in favor of at-home Moms because then she’s not an at-home Mom at all but a professional journalist. And heaven forfend you should point out that certain feminists are just shrews with a fancy philosophical excuse—then they unleash the worst insult they can think of: you must be gay. And all of this is usually accompanied by a shrill steady blast of four letter words and other verbal savagery—anything to scare away nasty reality and keep their discredited worldview intact.
And here I thought the ground getting closer and closer meant that I was in a plane in a downward spiral, ready to crash. Thats what I get for using my common sense! Darn it. (sigh) I'll never make a good slave of The State! Do you think that if maybe I started drinkin' some o' that there Kool-Aid I could evolve up to blind idiocy and fit in?
I guess I shouldn't be shocked that he can lie so boldly. He could tell the public that the Tooth Fairy was gonna pay their bills and half of them would not only buy it, but would genuflect an extra time before his Glorious Image.
You know, it was kinda funny, in a pathetic sorta way, when Jeaeane Garolola said that everyone at the tea parties are "racist rednecks" who are just "afraid of a black president."
Now this:
press release today from the the Anti-Defamation League:
White Supremacists May Attempt To Co-Opt July 4 "Tea Parties" To Promote A Hateful Agenda
...We have a president who is aligning himself with anti-Semite Marxist leaders and they're worried about the anti-tax, anti-spending rallies.
Look for the state-run media to run with this news.Hope you hear those increasing warning shots. If you rebel against the Marxist revolution you will be crushed. You have been warned.
They love bashing the fiscal conservatives who speak out against Dear Leader's socialist utopia. (Gateway Pundit)
Eric Holder, talking about new federal hate-crimes laws:
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder says a homosexual activist who is attacked following a Christian minister's sermon about homosexuality would be protected by a proposed new federal law, but a minister attacked by a homosexual wouldn't be."This is the question," Limbaugh said. "[Sen.] Jeff Sessions [R-Ala.] presents a hypothetical where a minister gives a sermon, quotes the Bible about homosexuality and is thereafter attacked … by a gay activist because of what the minister said about his religious beliefs and what Scripture says about homosexuality. Is the minister protected?"
No, said Holder.
"Well, the statute would not – would not necessarily cover that. We're talking about crimes that have a historic basis. Groups who have been targeted for violence as a result of the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, that is what this statute tends – is designed to cover. We don't have the indication that the attack was motivated by a person's desire to strike at somebody who was in one of these protected groups. That would not be covered by the statute," Holder stated. (World Net)
So killing someone because you hate them for being white, or for being a Christian, that's not so bad. In fact, its not racist or bigoted at all. We all know people like that deserve it anyway. Stupid, white trash, bible thumpin' crackers! Just ask Janeane Garofalo. She knows and she's really smart n' stuff!
And lessee....where was all the hate coming from, and toward whom was it directed during Prop 8? Oh yeah. Gay activists attacking Christians.
How long will this kind of hate have to take place before it has a "historical" basis, and therefore is the bad kind of hate?
Just wonderin'.(Oh, ok, ok. The Christians were hateful too. They were committing horrible acts of violence like politely disagreeing with changing the definition of marriage and voting likewise. Just think of the all the horrible pain that caused! It was just like a lynching or sumpin...! Those bastards!)
With energy rationing on the horizon if Cap and Tax passes, the economy still in a death spiral and The One and his minions continuing to lecture us on our need to make sacrifices, this is the horrible burden that our representatives and senators have to bear, from the WSJ:
The spending on overseas travel is up almost tenfold since 1995, and has nearly tripled since 2001, according to the Journal analysis of 60,000 travel records. Hundreds of lawmakers traveled overseas in 2008 at a cost of about $13 million. That's a 50% jump since Democrats took control of Congress two years ago.
The cost of so-called congressional delegations, known among lawmakers as "codels," has risen nearly 70% since 2005, when an influence-peddling scandal led to a ban on travel funded by lobbyists, according to the data. ...
Although complete travel records aren't yet available for 2009, it appears that such costs continue to rise. The Journal analysis shows that the government has picked up the tab for travel to destinations such as Jamaica, the Virgin Islands and Australia's Great Barrier Reef.
but its ok, don't get mad. They are just doing their job:
Lawmakers say that the trips are a good use of government funds because they allow members of Congress and their staff members to learn more about the world, inspect U.S. assets abroad and forge better working relationships with each other.
Hey wait a minute! I think I should learn more about the world too! Can I spend blazillions on fuel and jet to paradise whenever I feel like it on the taxpayer dime? It would make me a better Citizen of the World, and since that is primarily what we are supposed to be now (U.S. Citizen is so.....redneck!), I think that it is a good way to become a more highly evolved human being.
You know, sorta like Nancy Pelosi.
Matter of fact, I think it's my right! You owe me that as a human being!
When Iranians are dying in the streets, getting attacked by thugs with axes because they want democracy, Der Messiah says we can't meddle. We have to respect the dictator.
When a Marxist dictator gets run out of Honduras because he was trying to make himself president for life, killing the democratic process, Der Messiah pipes right up and "meddles," supporting him.
When Hugo Chavez wannabe Manuel Zelaya tried to set himself up as a socialist dictator in Honduras, he was thankfully slapped back into place by Hondurans who want to continue to live in a democracy. Shockingly, the same Comrade Obama who didn't want to get involved by speaking out against Ahmadinejad's thugs shooting women in the streets of Iran came out promptly and strongly on the side of Zelaya. (Moonbattery)
He pisses of England. He hugs Hugo Chavez.
See a pattern?
Now this story, from Hot Air:
Barack Obama said that he didn’t want to “meddle” in the Iranian crisis, but now it looks like he’s finally taking sides. Unfortunately, it’s the wrong side. Haaretz reports that Obama has attempted to block an expansion of sanctions on the Iranian mullahs among the G-8 nations
But of course, he has demanded that Israel dismantle settlements immediately.
Why not? They are not run by a dictatorship and so are not part of his Glorious, Global, Marxist Revolution.
Matter of fact, from the left-wing talking heads to the DHS, disagreement with The Community Organizer in Cheif makes you damn close to being a terrorist.
From Hot Air:
When a dissenting voice at the EPA warned that the global-warming theories on which Obama had predicated his policies were falling apart, the administration did not champion a scientific approach to the debate. Instead, it took the ages-old method of silencing the scientist...Carlin’s comments didn’t “help the legal or policy case” for the Obama administration? Actually, Carlin’s scientific analysis undermined the entire reason for those legal and policy choices. The effort to silence Carlin didn’t come because the EPA and the White House could easily refute the analysis. They silenced Carlin because they couldn’t refute it.
Now that Carlin has blown the whistle, the Obama administration has embarked on another ages-old strategy: character assassination. They have dismissed Carlin as an economist, when he actually has a degree in physics — from CalTech. They have derided his work as “sham science,” even though it relied on peer-reviewed studies. They’ve done everything but actually use the scientific method to rebut Carlin, which demonstrates the commitment they have to the “rightful place” of science when it comes to policy in this administration.
Funny that anyone would think actual scientific evidence would get in the way of the convenient excuse for near-complete government control that the global warming hoax has given them! C'mon. It was NEVER about the climate. It has always been about extending state control over every aspect of our lives. For our own good of course.
And re: the silencing, are you keeping track of The One's attitude towards free speech and open discussion? Keep watching. It will get much, much worse. They haven't given up on regulating what can be said on the radio yet. Give em a couple months. As we continue down the toilet that Der Messiah in his omniscient kindness has decided to flush, silencing dissent will become increasingly necessary for His Glorious Revolution.

The southern rock band Blackberry Smoke kicks. ass. Love em'.
And then to find this drunken, slapped together vid with their song "I'd Be Lyin" containing this Obama sound bite....well...
they just went way up on my awesomeness meter.
Really, it's the only thing you need to hear Our Glorious Leader say to understand him. It's his essence
Some of the lyrics in the background, that go with those sparkly words of The One:
Everybody's gonna tell you what to do
You can believe what you wanna believe
But let me tell you what's the truth
Baby, I'd, I'd be lying
Like all those two-faced, backstabbing double-talkers trying to get to you
BTW: I do not in anyway advocate the use of pot. Bad idea. M'kay?
But if you're gonna rule out listening to any band that used or uses drugs its gonna be awful quiet around your place. Hell, you'd have to rule out Hank Sr. and he's the king! So chill and enjoy the vid.
WooooHooooo! Acorn, not content with its role in causing the housing crisis that started the ball rolling downward, is ramping it up, even while they suck down more of your stolen money (via the Stimulus):
ACORN will be harassing lenders across the nation today, in an attempt to bully them into supporting The Leader's foreclosure-avoidance program — just as they bullied lenders into making loans based on race instead of ability to repay, thus helping to cause the subprime mortgage crisis that brought down the economy.Oh wait. My bad. It was all Bush's fault. Haven't had my Kool-Aid today. The campaign is entitled Home Wrecker 4. In the crosshairs are Goldman Sachs, HomEq Servicing, American Home Mortgage, and OneWest.
As American Spectator reminds us,
[L]et's not forget that ACORN helped to cause the mortgage bubble by strongarming banks into making loans they shouldn't have. And cheering them on was ACORN's lawyer, Barack Obama, who contributed to the increasingly hostile environment for banks when he represented plaintiffs in the 1995 class action lawsuit Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank. The suit demanded that Citibank grant mortgages to an equal percentage of minority and non-minority mortgage applicants. The bank settled the case three years later and reportedly agreed to beef up its lending to unqualified applicants.
Please don't send me to a death camp.
BTW, ACORN will be taking your census info the next time round, just to be sure the figures match what Our Glorious Leader desires.
And training a new class of revolutionaries on your tax dollar. Brownshirts are back!
"But I love the sound of his voice! He's so reassuring!"

Feel better now?
Maybe the women that created the post-modern feminist world of scholarship are really just as fashion-conscious as more traditional mainstream women are. And the fashion is, that truth irrelevant.
The title of the posting is "Persistent Myths in Feminst Scholarship," but after reading it, I'm thinking it should be called, "The Persistent Myth OF Feminist Scholarship."
My GOD what a crock!
Per usual, its all about feeeeeeelings, not rational discourse:
One reason that feminist scholarship contains hard-to-kill falsehoods is that reasonable, evidence-backed criticism is regarded as a personal attack.
These women are an insult to every strong, intelligent woman alive, and what's worse, they claim to speak for them.
Well........ they claim to speak for the horribly oppressed women in Western societies.
Muslim women, on the other hand, they are strangely silent about. Can't criticize another culture now, even if it kills, rapes and mutilates women as a matter of LAW and besides, in this case they might be in danger from Islamic nut-jobs if they don't act like subservient bitches and keep their place. Better to "bravely" speak truth to power about the awful sexist oppression in our society. Even if a large part of that oppression is phony bullshit.
Pathetic.
Democratic legislators refusing to stand for the pledge of allegiance:
(story at Hot Air)
Are you keeping track of this trend? The DHS has twice identified those who disent from Der Messiah's politics as "potential terrorists" and the Defense Dept. has done it once. Dem talking heads, picking us the clue and smelling blood are increasingly echoing the same thing. Now the Dem leader of CA:
California’s Speaker of the Assembly, Karen Bass, was foolish enough to say it — and believe it. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Bass responded to a question about conservative talk radio by calling show hosts terrorists, and openly wondering why we allow people to call politicians and give their opinions (via The Corner):How do you think conservative talk radio has affected the Legislature’s work?
The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: “You vote for revenue and your career is over.” I don’t know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it’s about free speech, but it’s extremely unfair. (Hot Air)
Now think about that. Having a different opinion from those on the far left (the new mainstream), makes you equal to those who commit mass murder, chop off heads, hang gay people and stone women to death if they were evil enough to "allow" themselves to be raped.
Not being left wing makes you equal to the scum that killed all those people on 9-11
How far a distance is there between identifying a group of people with whom you politically disagree as terrorists and DOING something to them equally extreme as the threatening group that you have just labeled them as? Re-education camp anyone? Obama's ally, William Ayers, lead a group, the Weather Underground, that said that this would be necessary for all but about 25,000 or so of us, when they came to power. Those 25,000 would have to be killed. THIS is the political environment we are living in now. These are the kind of people that are in control.
But I'm just being alarmist.
Can't happen here.
Now what's going on with Michael Jackson?
From Say Anything:
Congress has already decided what kind of light bulbs we can use, and Obama has expressed a desire to regulate where Americans set their thermostats (even as he cranks his personal thermostat in the Oval Office). So why not regulate our lamps too?Incandescent bulbs are being phased out and made illegal- you will have to buy mercury-filled bulbs coming with looooong clean-up directions for their toxic waste, if broken, that give off ugly-ass light. Sorta like an operating room. Now we are going to be told what kind of lamps we can use. It’s not like this is a free country or anything.
WASHINGTON—Aiming to keep the focus on climate change legislation, President Barack Obama put a plug in for administration efforts to make lamps and lighting equipment use less energy.
Well I'll tell ya what I'll be using. Friggin' CANDLES. How do you like those carbon footprints, bitches? Nicer light, not toxic and cheap.
Hmmmm.... come to think of it, mayber Der Messiah did me a favor!
Sen. James Inhofe has a more conciliatory posting on the cap and tax bill than I would put out. But then I'm not a politician. He's concerned:
The logic is not difficult to understand. Carbon caps, according to reams of independent analyses, will severely damage America’s global economic competitiveness, principally by raising the cost of doing business here relative to other countries that have no mandatory carbon policies. So jobs and businesses will move overseas, most likely to China. This so-called “leakage effect” would tip the global economic balance in favor of China and other strategic competitors of the U.S. Clearly, unilateral U.S. action redounds to the benefit of China and to the great detriment of the U.S.
"Well, what's not to like," says Chairman Zero, our "education" system and the MSM!?
We are, after all, an evil imperialist nation that needs to bow down and learn its place! The World Apology Tour was hardly enough!
And the best part of the cap and tax?
It picks winners and losers that will leave places like the Midwest and the South paying higher energy prices to subsidize areas in the rest of the country.Take that, ya damn rednecks!
Quite unlike all those Bible and gun clinging hillbillies in the Midwest and the South, China is not stupid:
...China opposes any binding emission reduction targets on itself; China wants the U.S. to accept draconian emission reduction targets that will continue to cripple the U.S. economy; and on top of that, China wants the U.S. to subsidize its economy with billions of dollars in foreign aid. In the final analysis, one must give China credit for seeking its economic self-interest.
Damn Chinese Capitalists! How dare they stand in the way of the One World Government Socialist Revolution of the Anointed One!
China- capitalist. America-socialist.
Europe- capitalist. America- socialist. (re: the recent elections)
Garsh, the world sure is changin' huh? If we want, as The One has said, to be in be in step with and in the good opinion of the world, as our first priority, we better git us some change!
