"WISE LATINA" REPLAY

To celebrate her nomination to the court. Here's the Wise Latina saying that courts are where laws are MADE (not interpreted as is stated in that horribly outdated document, The Constitution. You know, the one she is s'posed to defend.) Lord, and take a gander at that smug, arrogant-yet-lookin' all-hung-over-n-hateful look she's got goin' on there. Just like the one me and everyone of my radical friends used to sport, back in the day (shudder).

People are starting to question Jugears' plans for our economic destruction. So as he has done time and time again, he trots out a nice distraction, so he dismantle our country in peace. Greg Gutfeld on what the distraction is this time:

So according to the Wall Street Journal, the CIA had been kicking around a secret plan designed to off al-Qaeda chieftains – something the Democrats say they were never told about.

The actual program was dropped early on – either because it was a dumb idea, or it didn’t work, or maybe something better came along. What bugs me is that the plan was probably canceled because it actually could work - but having to disclose the plan would have endangered those asked to carry it out.
I mean, if your job is to sneak around the globe killing really bad people, then it should be kept secret – which is something frowned upon by people who don’t understand that beating evil means eradicating it. We call them asshats. You see them now, trying to score political points out of something that didn’t even happen (although, I wish it did).
Which brings me to a handy quiz you can take while you’re on a bus, a train, or perhaps even a plane!

Of the two statements below, check off the one you most agree with:

-The thought of the CIA contemplating a secret plan to kill terrorists behind 9/11 strikes you as wrong – so wrong in fact that those involved in it should be investigated for war crimes.

Congressional Democrats also knew that President Bush agreed to make changes in the program in March 2004 to assuage DOJ's concerns, and they knew that the program activities continued thereafter for a year-and-a-half (i.e., until the Times blew part of the program) without incident and with bipartisan congressional leadership continuing to be briefed.

Of course, having been kept from another attack is immaterial and as we all know, now we don't need protection because Jugears has been running around bowing and apologizing. HOLY CRAP. A NEW CZAR TO CURB FREE SPEECH.

When it comes to the First Amendment, Team Obama believes in Global Chilling.

Cass Sunstein, a Harvard Law professor who has been appointed to a shadowy post that will grant him powers that are merely mind-boggling, explicitly supports using the courts to impose a "chilling effect" on speech that might hurt someone's feelings. He thinks that the bloggers have been rampaging out of control and that new laws need to be written to corral them.

"Although obscure," reported the Wall Street Journal, "the post wields outsize power. It oversees regulations throughout the government, from the Environmental Protection Agency to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Obama aides have said the job will be crucial as the new administration overhauls financial-services regulations, attempts to pass universal health care and tries to forge a new approach to controlling emissions of greenhouse gases."

Sunstein was appointed, no doubt, off the success of "Nudge," his previous book, which suggests that government ought to gently force people to be better human beings.

Czar is too mild a world for what Sunstein is about to become. How about "regulator in chief"? How about "lawgiver"? He is Obama's Obama. (Read it all in the NYPost)

House Democrats agreed Friday to raise taxes by about $550 billion to pay
for their sweeping expansion of the nation’s health care system.

The huge tax increase will only pay for about half the cost of the Democrats’ health spending plans, so according to the New York Times, the Democrats will also cut Medicare spending, the government health plan for the elderly, and other health care savings to pay for the rest of the $trillion-plus health care spending spree.

The top federal tax rate is now 35 percent, but Democrats have vowed to raise it to 39.6 percent next year. The Washington Post quotes Robert Carroll, a senior fellow at the nonprofit Tax Foundation, as saying that combined with other federal tax adjustments, the Democrats’ new health care spending tax increase could leave some taxpayers facing top federal rates of at least 45 percent. Since we began to vote en masse for the democrats can we as the black community honestly say we are better off? With 70 percent of our children now being born out of wedlock and the highest teen pregnancy rate in the country? With our young men disproportionately represented in the nations jails and prisons and killing themselves in violent criminal activity in staggering numbers? This was not the case during my parents time nor was it the case when I was a kid in the 70’s when the liberal programs were just getting started, we are only now really seeing the bitter harvests that those programs are yielding...

** People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility

Given the effort it takes to force humans to be perfect, all of these Statists, without exception, realized that some humans simply weren’t worth the effort it would take to perfect them. They were in the way. How much better, then, simply to rid the world of them before they even became nascent....

THIS ISN'T RACISM

New York (of course):

During the first five months of this year, with the Senate under the control of its first African-American majority leader, Smith, top Democrats bemoaned the lack of minority Senate staffers.

But instead of trying to recruit new hires, they fired nearly 200 almost exclusively white workers and replaced them with a large number of minority employees, many of whom were seen by their fellow workers to be unskilled at their new jobs.

The move produced severe racial tensions, made worse by the fact that, as a high-level Democratic staffer confided, "We've been told to only hire minorities.'' (NYPost)

So its no big deal that The One released 4 men who,

were agents of Iran responsible for organizing and directing terror cells in Iraq. Hundreds of US servicemen and women and thousands of innocent Iraqis died horribly because of them. What these Iranians did were war crimes, from the killing of civilians to the execution of prisoners. They likely took part in operations themselves; in fact the attackers in Karbala were so expertly disguised as American soldiers their equipment and vehicles were very likely supplied directly by Iran. They do not respect or honor our foundational principles; they do not respect or honor America's values. You do not let a crime go unpunished. You do not reward evil; it cannot be appeased. We will inherit no goodwill; we will enjoy no diplomatic concessions; we are the "great Satan" to the regime in Teheran and treating with us is an immoral act. Their ideology and their policies are based on hatred. To think otherwise is not merely naïve, it is idiotic.

We are in the awful situation were an American President and his administration sides with our enemies, where crimes against us are ignored for petty political gain.

SO WHY DOES OBAMA WANT TO DESTROY OUR ECONOMY?

The leading theory on why Obama hates and wants to destroy the economy is its focus on merit, which is an anathema to Obama. In a capitalistic society, you need products that actually do useful things so you can sell them and make money. You can make all the claims you want, but at some point people are going to expect the product to actually do something.

That has to be a foreign concept to someone who has written multiple autobiographies before ever actually accomplishing anything. He expects people to take his word that he’s really smart and great without ever having to do anything to prove it. That doesn’t work in our economy; think of the Amazon.com reviews he’d have if he were a product. Yes, a few people would think he looked neat and preorder, but soon he’d have a bunch of one-star reviews saying, “Doesn’t actually do anything. Don’t waste trillions of dollars on it.” You can see how Obama might be angry at something that would find no value in him, like the economy.

Sure fits in with his pathologically narcissistic personality.

Well, which one is it? Is he confused?

Obama states that governments that serve their own power will probably not survive, but he doesn’t seem to recognize Manuel Zelaya’s government as being one of those doomed entities. The Honduran president was attempting to unconstitutionally remain in office longer than the one term the government allows him. When the army successfully gained control of the government, Zelaya’s own party supported the congressional vote to replace him, according to the Associated Press.

If the U.S. is not to interfere in the affairs of other nations, why is Obama negatively judging the means by which the Honduran government has chosen to rectify a blatantly unconstitutional act by its president? Why is it more appropriate to support Zelaya than it was to support Mousavi supporters in Iran?

The conclusion?

...the president is an idealist. He’s a peace and love man of the highest order trying to remake the world. But idealism without intellect is a waste of time and energy, at best, and has the potential to create multiple catastrophes. When Barack Obama speaks, the emanating sound is that of a high school valedictorian who thinks he knows so much more than he actually does — but is too young to realize how little he knows. That quality may be endearing to his supporters, but it’s infuriating to those of us who prefer that the president of our nation not sound like a wistful teenager.

Nothing worse than an arrogant pin head.

Washington, D.C.-During a hearing today in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, EPA Administrator Jackson confirmed an EPA analysis showing that unilateral U.S. action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions would have no effect on climate. Moreover, when presented with an EPA chart depicting that outcome, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he disagreed with EPA's analysis.

"I believe the central parts of the [EPA] chart are that U.S. action alone will not impact world CO2 levels," Administrator Jackson said.

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) presented the chart to both Jackson and Secretary Chu, which shows that meaningful emissions reductions cannot occur without aggressive action by China, India, and other developing countries. "I am encouraged that Administrator Jackson agrees that unilateral action by the U.S. will be all cost for no climate gain," Sen. Inhofe said. "With China and India recently issuing statements of defiant opposition to mandatory emissions controls, acting alone through the job-killing Waxman-Markey bill would impose severe economic burdens on American consumers, businesses, and families, all without any impact on climate." WHY I LOVE HER

John Zeigler knows Sarah Palin pretty well and has an excellent piece about her resignation. From the article:

the most insane element of the reaction to Palin’s resignation is the complete inability of the vast majority of the press — and at least some of the public — to even comprehend the possibility that she just might be telling the truth about how and why she came to this decision.
This will evidently come as a complete shock to nearly every member of the media elite, but not everyone in public life is a manipulative and cynical liar, and not every person who has a shot at being President must live their lives to pursue that end no matter the costs to the public good, their family and their personal sanity. The Sarah Palin I know is at least one person in that position who is sufficiently well-grounded and secure enough in themselves and their values to not succumb to this illness of hyper-ambition. She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources and doom it to gridlock. She knew that it would also continue to cost her family hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend against false and maliciously filed ethics complaints. And she had simply had enough of her children being fodder for inappropriate public attacks. ...
Sarah Palin simply came to the “remarkable” conclusion that stepping down was the right thing to do for the greater good. How sad is it that so many in media (including a whole lot of “conservatives”) can’t even begin to see this obvious reality.

Truly admirable and decent people can't even be conceived of anymore, and if the powers that be get an inkling that someone may fit that description, they decide that they must be destroyed.

Evil hates good. Good makes evil feeeeel bad, and as we all know, our feeeeelings are all that matter now, not our actions.

WHAT A HATE CRIME DOES NOT LOOK LIKE:

THE BLENDING OF CHURCH AND STATE

That’s a big one. When you decide to become a Democrat, the need for you to ever contribute to charity is completely eliminated. Every election cycle Democrat candidates are exposed for being skinflints when the 1040s are released....

And a something I'm always harping on:

The Party is their Church and the leaders are their clerics. Why should Al Gore give more than a couple hundred bucks to charitable causes when he has made his life work saving the earth from prosperity?

"[Sen.] Jeff Sessions [R-Ala.] presents a hypothetical where a minister gives a sermon, quotes the Bible about homosexuality and is thereafter attacked … by a gay activist because of what the minister said about his religious beliefs and what Scripture says about homosexuality. Is the minister protected?"

"Well, the statute would not – would not necessarily cover that. We're talking about crimes that have a historic basis. When Hugo Chavez wannabe Manuel Zelaya tried to set himself up as a socialist dictator in Honduras, he was thankfully slapped back into place by Hondurans who want to continue to live in a democracy. Shockingly, the same Comrade Obama who didn't want to get involved by speaking out against Ahmadinejad's thugs shooting women in the streets of Iran came out promptly and strongly on the side of Zelaya. They’ve done everything but actually use the scientific method to rebut Carlin, which demonstrates the commitment they have to the “rightful place” of science when it comes to policy in this administration.

Funny that anyone would think actual scientific evidence would get in the way of the convenient excuse for near-complete government control that the global warming hoax has given them! C'mon. It was NEVER about the climate. It has always been about extending state control over every aspect of our lives. For our own good of course.

And re: the silencing, are you keeping track of The One's attitude towards free speech and open discussion? Keep watching. It will get much, much worse. They haven't given up on regulating what can be said on the radio yet. Give em a couple months. As we continue down the toilet that Der Messiah in his omniscient kindness has decided to flush, silencing dissent will become increasingly necessary for His Glorious Revolution.

The title of the posting is "Persistent Myths in Feminst Scholarship," but after reading it, I'm thinking it should be called, "The Persistent Myth OF Feminist Scholarship."

Can't criticize another culture now, even if it kills, rapes and mutilates women as a matter of LAW and besides, in this case they might be in danger from Islamic nut-jobs if they don't act like subservient bitches and keep their place. Better to "bravely" speak truth to power about the awful sexist oppression in our society. Even if a large part of that oppression is phony bullshit.

Are you keeping track of this trend? The DHS has twice identified those who disent from Der Messiah's politics as "potential terrorists" and the Defense Dept. has done it once. Dem talking heads, picking us the clue and smelling blood are increasingly echoing the same thing. Now the Dem leader of CA:

The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: “You vote for revenue and your career is over.” I don’t know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it’s about free speech, but it’s extremely unfair. (Hot Air)

Now think about that. Having a different opinion from those on the far left (the new mainstream), makes you equal to those who commit mass murder, chop off heads, hang gay people and stone women to death if they were evil enough to "allow" themselves to be raped.

How far a distance is there between identifying a group of people with whom you politically disagree as terrorists and DOING something to them equally extreme as the threatening group that you have just labeled them as? Re-education camp anyone? Obama's ally, William Ayers, lead a group, the Weather Underground, that said that this would be necessary for all but about 25,000 or so of us, when they came to power. Those 25,000 would have to be killed. THIS is the political environment we are living in now. These are the kind of people that are in control.

Incandescent bulbs are being phased out and made illegal- you will have to buy mercury-filled bulbs coming with looooong clean-up directions for their toxic waste, if broken, that give off ugly-ass light. Sorta like an operating room. Now we are going to be told what kind of lamps we can use.

Well I'll tell ya what I'll be using. Friggin' CANDLES. How do you like those carbon footprints, bitches? Nicer light, not toxic and cheap.
