Posted last night about Ann Coulter suing after being threatened with arrest for exercising the free speech that does not exist in Canada. You know, the country that the left feels we should emulate?
Well she went there and encountered a whole lot of the caring, kind, champions of the...um...people:
The Canadians have subtly threatened Ms. Coulter with criminal prosecution over speeches she had not yet given. She has been attacked in the Canadian Parliament.
Officials have banned the posters advertising her speech, while allowing those that viciously attack her. Canadian officials have been prohibited from attending any of her speeches. And now this....
Security officials have scrubbed American right-winger Ann Coulter’s speech at the University of Ottawa after a boisterous protest prompted concerns for her safety.
A spokesman for the group that organized the event said there were fears for Coulter’s well-being after about two thousand people gathered outside the venue to protest her presence there. (via Sweetness and Light)
In case you are wondering what hate speech is- both in Canada and here in what is left of America, it is any speech that is not approved by the Totalitarian Marxist left.
When you speak the truth to deluded, well-meaning people that are invested in an un-real fantasy land, they react with outrage and anger. To bring them even a glimpse of the truth causes their twisted minds to see that as hatred and evil and they will react with anger.
I well remember my past, when during the few times I found myself arguing with someone not inside my liberal echo chamber, I would inevitably loose the point. Instead of admitting that, I would react with so much outrage I'd be shaking and calling them Nazis and racists.
We all like to get along with one another. But seems to me that we have an obligation to help those bent self-destruction....especially since they are taking everyone else down with them.
Guess I'm not gonna be too popular. Pepper spray may be a good thing to carry too.
The violently deluded are not shy of attack- because they care about people they have to beat them down.
Like any good fascist.
