A shrink publishes a plea for compassion towards those crazy tea party people:

I hate these folks but I also understand them. And, well, uh, I also empathize with them.

You see, people like me have been "victimized" and have "feelings of helplessness and worthlessness." Betcha didn't know that, didja? Maybe that's because you are so worthless!

Of course, no where in her piece does she address the concerns of the activists or give any evidence that they are mistaken. They are violent misguided racists! Who needs to listen to them? Wish I had the page number for this tactic in Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals." The bible of the First Church of Fundamentalist Leftism.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, read the postings of a shrink not in need one herself, Dr. Sanity.

I have got to be one of her hugest fans. Over and over she points out the underlying psychology of the left. Displacement (creating a mild, non-threatening threat to focus on as a substitute for an actual, real threat that is just too scary to deal with), projection (if you want to know what the left is up to, listen to what they accuse believers in the Constitution of), etc. She has an excellent series on "strategies of denial" that is chock full of insight into the otherwise mystifying mind of the lunatic left that rules what is left of our nation.
