The wild call of the left. It never ceases to amaze me that I spent so many years believing that I was involved in a movement, no, make that a religion, that pressed for precisely the opposite of it's self-image. They say they're for freedom, but want slavery to the state; free speech, but they do all they can to eliminate it; uplift for Americans of African descent, while fostering a slave mentality. Well one valuable thing that has stayed with me from my days as a Moonbat, is this quote from The Book of the Subgenius:
"the more time you spend with your head in the clouds, grokking with the hole-in-oneness, the more time the rest of you spends down here on earth, acting like an asshole."David Limbaugh has posted a great piece summarizing the left's fight against free speech and the insane disconnect between their words and their actions. Check it out.
Now we have a president that embodies the most extreme elements of the left: Marxism, dreams of a totalitarian state and the fostering and building of a cult of personality. Mr. Limbaugh summarizes:
If you believe the left is tolerant, open-minded and democratic, you're in for a rude awakening.I suppose if all more gentle attempts to awaken a comatose patient fail, the only thing left is a rude awakening. Maybe the horrors to come are just what we need to come back to life. Maybe this evil will be a good thing.
