Hilarious.
Dr Drew Shindell of NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies:
... research indicates that, ironically, much of the rise in polar temperature seen over the last few decades may have resulted from US and European restrictions on sulphur emissions. According to NASA:
Sulfates, which come primarily from the burning of coal and oil, scatter incoming solar radiation and have a net cooling effect on climate. Over the past three decades, the United States and European countries have passed a series of laws that have reduced sulfate emissions by 50 percent. While improving air quality and aiding public health, the result has been less atmospheric cooling from sulfates. (Hot Air)
More evidence that one of the defining aspects of our age is tremendous arrogance. We are so damn smart that we can grasp ALL of the complexity of the earth and know exactly what causes what in that infinitely tangled web of life.
Please. I know its tempting, seeing as the people we are told are the most "brilliant," say God is just a fairy tale, but we are NOT God. Really. We're not.
Now if someone would tell that to Obamessiah. He's working on plans to intervene in the atmosphere and change it. And you thought his talk of stopping the rise of sea levels was weird....His Royal Majesty is gettin a wee bit kooky, doncha think?
