"They're just words. There is no truth." That is a central tenet of the Post-Modern philosophy indoctrinated into a generation and embraced by Der Messiah. So I guess this shouldn't be surprising. The One has decreed:
"No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people," Obama said Monday, addressing the American Medical Association. "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what."
"If you like what you're getting, keep it," Obama said. "Nobody is forcing you to shift."
But now it's been pointed out that by gov't insurance paying hospitals and doctors less than they need and forcing them to pass on those costs to private insurers, many, many of those private businesses will go bankrupt, thus forcing people onto the gov't teat.
Cleaver huh? No one said "you can't keep your insurance." They just make it impossible for your insurance company to continue to do business. You will have to "choose" to be a slave to the gov't bureaucracy.
When this was pointed out, what did the White House have to say?
White House officials suggest the president's rhetoric shouldn't be taken literally: What Obama really means is that government isn't about to barge in and force people to change insurance. (story at Newsbusters)
Sleezy, lyin', phony crap. It's what's for breakfast!
