Moonbattery has a good post about the continuing influence of un-repentant Maoist terrorist Bill Ayers, who continues to rake in the bucks and spread his poison speaking in his position of well-respected professor of education.
If you still have a shred of hope that public schools will not continue to become more and more Marxist indoctrination centers and will not continue to demand authority over parents, think again.
In addition to launching Comrade Obama's political career from the apartment he shares with fellow terrorist Bernadine Dohrn, Ayers has climbed his way up the indoctrination establishment as a Professor of Education at the University of Illinois. With his close friend in the White House, he has an unprecedented opportunity to poison children's minds. Kelcy Allen explains:On Monday November 23 President Obama took the occasion of National Lab Day to announce a new "Educate to Innovate" initiative designed to motivate and revitalize science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs in the nation's schools. One of the priorities would be expanding STEM education and career opportunities, with a special focus on under-represented groups, including women and minorities. He called for a series of public-private partnerships involving universities, corporations, non-profits, and foundations. …A school-corporate-nonprofit nexus… principal and faculty reform… small, low-income community organized projects… under-represented victims… where have we seen this before? How about Chicago, where Obama chaired the board of the Joyce Foundation which collected tens of millions of dollars of private, corporate sponsored non-profit monies and distributed them to Chicago area school initiatives. Much of the money went to Ayers' small-school reforms and minority-centered programs. Then Obama and Ayers sat together on the Woods Fund and did the same thing. Then they sat together on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and did the same thing. Then Obama sat together with Bill Ayers' father and brother on The Leadership Council and did the same thing. Overall, they appear to have spent over a hundred million dollars into Chicago school projects only to see today's pitiful results.
Would you subject your kids to the festering hellholes that pass for schools in Chicago? You might have to — because Chicago has gone nationwide. In October the misnamed Renaissance Group — a consortium of American colleges that focuses on teacher education programs — had a big shindig in DC. There were only three speakers [PDF]:• US Undersecretary of Education Martha Kanter spoke for 45 minutes.
• US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan spoke for 45 minutes.
• Unrepentant communist terrorist Bill Ayers spoke for one hour.
