9/11 - THE DAY THE LEFT WANTS YOU TO FORGET

I wrote last year about the big sign in the local mall that says “Never Forget.” I know what they meant by that. They want us to remember the terror. They want us to stay ever-vigilant, because that could happen again. They want us to remember who our enemies are. They want us to remember the fire, the smoke, the downed plane, the falling bodies.

And yet what have we seen from our elected leaders? We are no longer allowed to say "the war on terror" Terrorist attacks have been re-labeled "human-caused disasters." Our president has been busy crawling around the world apologizing for our greatness and signaling weakness to those who want to destroy us. The CIA has become the enemy and the detained terrorists the mis-understood freedom fighters. CIA officials face prosecution. Terrorists are freed. And to top it off, 9-11 has been re-branded as a "national day of service" to help scrub that in-convenient memory and cognizance of the reality of the world from our minds.

I won't forget. And I'm willing to bet that most of the rest of us won't either.

God bless the men and women that died on this day. God bless their families and those who still sacrifice to keep us safe, even in the face of a government bent on shutting it's eyes and inviting attack.
