Damn. John Hawkins has written a very thought provoking piece. Like him, I am coming to believe that we need to get a LOT of the long time republicans, especially the RINO's, the hell out and put in new conservative legislators that are there because of what they believe in and that actually have something they believe in. He begins:
“The big mistake of Republican leadership is thinking that going through the motions of listening to their ‘base’ is the same thing as actually listening to the base. They keep trying to drag us to where they think we should be instead of joining us where we are.” — Yael
If candidates who believe in small government, fiscal responsibility, a strong military, patriotism, freedom, and traditional values can no longer win elections in the United States, then we’re finished as a great nation.

Important article. Gets to the heart of why conservatives are so frustrated.
I like his point that loosing the election may have positive results. Lord knows they needed a wake-up call.
