Obama and Rezko worked together for more than ten years in Illinois politics. If Rezko was as dirty as a jury verdict states and as federal prosecutors believe, how likely is it that anyone employing him was squeaky clean? Their political association lasted over ten years, during the period when Rezko was corrupting state politics. It’s certainly possible that Rezko’s corruption didn’t involve Obama, but to assume it didn’t seems far too credulous by half, especially with the present example of Illinois politics before us now.

UPDATE: Looks like MORE of the dirt is getting sweaty. Race-hustler Jesse Jackson and his son. From ABCnews (oddly enough):

Rev. Jesse Jackson says he played no role and was not "an emissary" in alleged efforts to make a deal with Governor Rod Blagojevich for the appointment of his son, Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) to the U.S. Senate.

In the FBI affidavit, Blagojevich is heard on hidden microphones recounting alleged promises from "emissaries" for Rep. Jackson.

"We were approached 'pay to play'. That you know, he'd raise me 500 grand. An emissary came. Then the other guy would raise a million, if I made him (Senate Candidate 5) a Senator."

Senate Candidate 5 has been identified as Rep. Jackson.
