CHRISTMAS WAR UPDATES

You prolly heard about the governor of Washington allowing radical athiests to put up an insulting sign saying in part, "Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds," next to the Christmas display. GOPUSA has a good point:

"Freedom of speech was never meant to be a license for fringe groups to insult and antagonize the rest of us," says Larry Stickney, President of the Washington Values Alliance. "While we must all do our best to respect the opinion of those we don't agree with," he says, "the 1st Amendment also guarantees our constitutional right to carry on our nation's religious culture and traditions and we should be able to do so without petty harassment."

I guess this is kinda tiresome, but there are still people who think the "war on Christmas" thing is just a paranoid fantasy, so I continue....

In Londonistan a woman was told to take down her lights because they were ‘offensive to the community.’ This horrible woman also had a santa and tree out there! The bitch.

And regarding Rudolph, the oppressive nazi reindeer:

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was almost grounded at Murrayville Elementary School this week after a parent complained about the classic Christmas song’s inclusion in her daughter’s upcoming kindergarten concert.

The objecting parent was upset about the words “Christmas” and “Santa” in the song, feeling that they carried religious overtones.

Stay tuned for more loving expressions of the season...

UPDATE: Ooops. Looks like there's a whole blog chronicling this stuff: Defend Christmas.
