FOX NEWS IS THE PROBLEM!

From Redstate:

In an interview to be published in next Sunday's New York Times magazine, Barack Obama lays into the FOX News Channel:

I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls. If I were watching Fox News, I wouldn't vote for me, right? Because the way I'm portrayed 24/7 is as a freak! I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?

Obama is complaining that Fox shows him and his base as they really are! Those bastards! How dare they pull back the curtain from the Mighty Oz! It's this kind of crap that will come to an end when he brings the glorious revolution to fruition!

Seriously, how could anyone make this stuff up?

Rachel Lucas has more:

“I guess the point I’m making,” he went on, “is that there is an entire industry now, an entire apparatus, designed to perpetuate this cultural schism, and it’s powerful. People want to know that you’re fighting for them, that you get them. And I actually think I do. But you know, if people are just seeing me in sound bites, they’re not going to discover that. That’s why I say that some of that may have to happen after the election, when they get to know you.”

What in the what what WHAT? Is this some sort of comedy routine he’s working on? Was he drunk on Wild Turkey when he said all that? Did he actually say it in Chinese, and the translation back to English got all jacked up?

Oh my god. There are so many things wrong with the entire statement that I’m about to go all fetal-position and question my own understanding of words. I wonder if I just went dyslexic and think that quote says something it doesn’t say.

Because if you ask me, which you didn’t but tough shit, the fact is, forget Fox News. If there were no CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CSPAN, PBS, NPR, the LA Times, the New York Times, and every other major paper in the country, a radical socialist with insufficient experience like Obama would be down in the polls about 30 points.

You want to talk about an entire industry - an entire apparatus - designed to perpetuate a cultural schism, to give one guy an edge over another guy based on soundbites and bias? You want to talk about that? And you think it’s WORKING AGAINST YOU, SENATOR BARACK OBAMA???

Sorry for all the yelling. I just simply cannot believe my own eyes on this one. I truly cannot FATHOM that this man, who is supposedly intelligent and “aware”, would actually say with a straight face that there’s an entire industry - in the form of the media - that is anything other than his own personal cheerleading corps.

And what in the hell is he talking about, that Fox News portrays him 24/7 as a “latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal.” Is there another Fox News that I don’t know about? Because I’ve never once heard a single thing about Volvos or latte or what he reads or how effete he is. What I have heard is about ACORN. And about Ayers and Wright, you know, unimportant stuff like that. Stuff that’s keeping me from getting to really know Obama. And by the way, CNN has been hammering the ACORN thing more than anyone lately.

And also by the way, the example given in the Times piece that led Obama to say all of that bullcorn was a quote from Joe Scarborough. Of MSNBC.

Well, whatever. Don’t worry, Obama. Once you’re president you can “disappear” Fox News. Then the next openly socialist Democrat presidential candidate won’t have to suffer from such bias and will have a full 100% of the media in his or her pocket. Not just 98%. A full 100%.
