THE OH-SO-REFRESHING BREATH OF FRESH AIR THAT IS JOE!

Joe W. has a new gig reporting for Pajamas Media. As expected, he cuts through the BS:

Armed with a camera and a temporary Government Press Office card, he got a taste of reality in Sderot, visiting a house hit by a Kassam rocket two weeks ago and experiencing a "Code Red" alert first-hand.

...He also wondered why Israel waited so long to act. "I know if I were a citizen here, I'd be damned upset." He described himself as a "peaceloving man," but added, "when someone hits me, I'm going to unload on the boy. And if the rest of the world doesn't understand that, then I'm sorry."

...In Sderot, he seemed just as intent on teaching a thing or two to the media. "Do you think this is normal, the way you cover this conflict and give away information to your enemy?" he asked the journalists that gathered around him.

"It makes me sick to see the way you behave - you guys need to be protective of your homes, your children, your family." (via Gateway Pundit)
Of course the ed-u-ma-cated elite (on both the left and the right) are either smirking or soberly running down his lack of qualifications. Well I would say that at this point, when we've been failed by people on both sides of the political spectrum who have those qualifications, I think this is a point in his favor, not to his detriment. Screw em. The school of life, the one usually left behind while swimming in the tangle of higher ed-u-ma-cation might, just MIGHT bring some insight not found in the hallowed halls of academe.

That kind of knowledge is exactly what is lacking. Its the kind of knowledge that the founding fathers had. Even the educated and well read among them had real jobs by day, real farms, real work that kept them tied to the land and the people. Politicians and media elite now are living off text and digits alone. Not to say there is nothing valuable there, but when it comes down to it....what the hell do they really know? Not much that matters.

Rock. On. Joe.
