HERE'S AN IDEA: HOW 'BOUT WE ALL CALL OURSELVES "AMERICANS"?

I know, I know. Blasphemy. Guess it's cause I'm a dumb, redneck, racist, swastika-wearing, hate-mongering, mobster....oh hell, I forget all what I am. But I'm bad, I know that!

But still, Lloyd Marcus' has some good stuff to say here:

The audience's emotional response to my, I am not a hyphenated American proclamation has been a big surprise to me. After each rally many approach me, many with tears in their eyes to thank me. They tell me, “I can not begin to tell you how much I appreciate what you said. I'm Irish (or I am Italian), and I would never hyphenate. America doesn't need things to divide us. It is fine to honor your heritage but, be an American first”.

My long ago decision to go un-hyphenated is not a criticism of blacks who choose to call themselves “African American” and feel a connection to Africa. Their choice is none of my business. I live in Florida. My “mother land” is Baltimore, Maryland, home of the Baltimore Orioles, Hall of Famer Cal Ripken and the best crab cakes on the planet.

This cross-country tour has opened my eyes to the reality that Americans have been held hostage by political correctness. Americans want to be united. They hate hyphenating. In New Mexico, a young man thanked me, “I tell all my friends I am American ... not Mexican-American!"

As I said, simply proclaiming myself an American is striking an extremely emotional chord with my fellow Americans across America. Their affection and gratitude is sometimes overwhelming. Moving me to tears. An elderly woman who owns a small dry cleaning business in Nevada offered me free dry cleaning for life! A rancher invited me to his ranch to shoot guns and drink whiskey. While I do neither, his offer was genuine and sincere.

These same Americans who so desperately want to be united without hyphenations are called racists by the Obama administration for disagreeing with his radical agenda.
Freedom to identify one's self in whatever way one pleases is a part of the greatness of America. While I acknowledge my African descent, I will always proudly refer to myself as an American!

Funny. All that emotion over the desire to be ONE nation, including ALL. You'd think they took to heart "e. pluribus unum" or somthin'.

CONTROL LANGUAGE, CONTROL THOUGHT

And controlling thought is an ultimate goal of those who have taken over the Democratic Party.

...words are a form of code. It is what they stand for that carries meaning, not the words themselves. Thus, to be meaningful, words must be faithful to what they describe. When words lack fidelity, they cease to convey authentic meaning and become an obstacle in the path to knowledge.

In America today, it isn't difficult to find linguistic infidelity. A few conspicuous examples suffice to illustrate the point:

• Undocumented immigrants for illegal aliens
• English plus for Spanish language education
• Economic justice for criminally confiscatory tax policies
• Tax rebates for government handouts to people who pay no taxes
• Tax loopholes for legal ways that people can try to keep their own money
• Affirmative action for legally mandated racism
• Equal employment opportunity for legally required ethnic and gender quotas
• Reproductive health services for abortion clinics

Each of these linguistic deceits is an individual affront to reason, as are thousands of others just like them. But what is more important is that they are part of a deliberate campaign to manipulate our language in order to control how Americans speak and think.

More than three hundred years after the death of Francis Bacon, another Englishman by the name of George Orwell warned about the dangers of totalitarian language manipulation. In his book 1984, Orwell described a society that controls what people think by the propagandistic use of a language called Newspeak.

"It is culture that is the crucial factor in shaping the American identity, not ethnicity or race ...The left's multicultural offensive is an attack on America's national culture, not on its racial or ethnic composition. ‘Inclusion' and ‘diversity' are not the real agendas of the left ... [Their] agenda is the deconstruction of America's national identity and culture and particularly the American narrative of inclusion and freedom. The multiculturalism narrative is not about the assimilation of minorities into the crucible of American freedom, but their liberation from American ‘oppression.'" [Emphasis added.]

In describing the agenda of the radical left as the "deconstruction of America's national identity and culture," Horrowitz exposes the real purpose of the Orwellian language manipulation we are seeing in our country today. But the end game of the radical left isn't just the deconstruction of traditional America; it is the reconstruction of America according to the precepts of a radical left totalitarian ideology. In a speech entitled "The Origins of Political Correctness," Bill Lind traces how traditional economic Marxism morphed into the "cultural Marxism" that drives the radical left's attempt to transform America today. In his speech, Lind notes that economic Marxism and cultural Marxism both:

• Give special status and power to certain people at the expense of other members of society, not because they have earned it by their own merit, but because they are members of a "victim" group. In economic Marxism, it is the "workers" who are seen as victims and therefore entitled to wrest power from the "capitalists" and the "bourgeoisie." In cultural Marxism, it is blacks, Hispanics, feminists, homosexual activists, and similar "victim" groups who are entitled to take power from "white society." In both economic and cultural Marxism, anyone who objects to the totalitarian tactics used by the members of a victim group must be ridiculed, "reeducated" and punished.[7]
• Look at history through the prism of a single-factor explanation. In economic Marxism, history is seen as being determined by who owns the means of production. Cultural Marxism says that history is determined by which group - defined in terms of race, sex, etc. - has power over which other group. Thus, "Deconstruction essentially takes any text, removes all meaning from it and re-inserts any meaning desired. So we find, for example, that all of Shakespeare is about the suppression of women, or the Bible is really about race and gender."
• Rely on expropriation of wealth to empower members of the "victim" group. In Russia, for example, "... they expropriated the bourgeoisie, they took away their property.[8] In America, "when the cultural Marxists take over a university campus, they expropriate through things like quotas for admissions." In fact, "affirmative action in our whole society today is a system of expropriation."

Lind concluded his article by observing that although cultural Marxism is on the rise in America, "we don't recognize it because we call it Political Correctness ..."

He leaves his readers with this grim warning about political correctness:

"[I]t's growing and it will eventually destroy ... our freedom and our culture."

The good news?

The cultural Marxists also know that Truth is their enemy, but they do not understand that truth is more than a mere inconvenience -- something to be suppressed whenever they think it is expedient to do so. What they don't grasp is that Truth is a palpable reality, an actual force in the Universe; and it is far more powerful than the ideology of cultural Marxism. Unbeknownst to the cultural Marxists, Truth carries a unique resonance in the human heart, and regardless of how long it takes the conscious mind to receive the messages of the heart, anything less than the Truth will ultimately be perceived as dissonant and rejected by the human spirit.

Is this really WJWD? I consulted the New Testament, Matthew 19: 16 – 24 to be precise. This is the story of the rich young noble who asks how he can gain eternal life. Eventually, Jesus tells him. “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me. (Matthew 19:21)”

Note what Christ didn’t say. He didn’t say, “Give me your wealth so I can take care of the poor.” He didn’t say, “Give all your wealth to the government so they will take care of the poor.” And he sure as heck did not say, “Lobby the government to take away other people’s wealth and redistribute it to the poor.”

Two things conservatives understand that liberals don’t. 1.) Moral obligations are personal, you can’t proxy them to the government. 2.) A government can’t do as good a job taking care of the poor and unfortunate as charities do. Government has incentives to keep people dependent, charities don’t. Charities have to take care with how they use their funding and resources, governments don’t.

Commonsense stuff, really. But liberals seem incapable of comprehending basic common sense.

J. Brown of Politically Drunk on Power has dug up multiple documentary sources (with hyperlinks) proving that Barack Obama was a member of the New Party, despite alleged attempts to cover up his tracks by scrubbing evidence.

Why would he want to cover his tracks and scrub the evidence? Why should his records from school still be sealed? Shouldn't he stand up proudly for something he believes in?

Hmm. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that people don't WANT a radical Marxist president.

USING THE GOODNESS OF AMERICANS TO HELP DESTROY AMERICA

Can anything be more evil?

Americans, by and large, are a people that believe, as Beck said last night, in giving people a second chance. Maybe even a third chance. They want to see the good in everyone. They want to get along with people of different beliefs, races, and lifestyles, joining together as one nation. It's in our blood.

The post-modern Marxist left that now controls the Democratic party used that to get a racist, un-American Marxist elected president.

Rev. Wright? Bill Ayers? Just past mistakes, he got a pass.

On top of that, many felt that having our first president of African descent would finally heal the wounds of our racist past. That trumped other considerations. We believe ALL people should be able to succeed.

Now that The One has taken power, he is implementing the philosophy of those "past mistakes" at lightening speed.

Increasingly it appears he is implementing the Cloward-Piven strategy of purposely destroying the economy.

He is doing all he can to destroy our national security and signal our weakness to the rest of the world, while embracing dictators and Islamofascists.

Why? When we are economically on our knees and/or horrifically attacked, what do you think people will do? They will turn to the government and give The State a pass to do whatever it wants. Martial Law? Fine. It's every Totalitarian Leftist's wet dream.

But what they didn't count on is that we are not only a good people, we are a people that love our freedoms. We shrink from evil, and when evil begins to show its face and its destructive plans begin, people rise up. People are leaving the MSM state media in droves, turning to Fox and the Internet and what they are finding is shocking them into action.

The left continually emphasises the bits and pieces of their master plan as isolated from one another, much as they count on inflaming racial animosity to divide the nation, to keep control and keep people in the dark. But thanks to people like Glenn Beck, people are beginning to connect the dots.

She didn't know after the President signed the $800 billion so-called "stimulus program." She didn't know after government takeovers/bailouts of banks, insurance companies and auto companies.

She didn't know after Obama campaigned in favor of protectionism by promising to unilaterally change free trade agreements, such as NAFTA, or after the inclusion of "Buy American" provisions in the "stimulus package."

She didn't know after Obama campaigned on government-run health care or after he said during the campaign that "if starting from scratch," he'd implement the Canadian single-payer system.

She didn't know after Obama stated his goal to impose job-killing and price-hiking "cap-and-trade" business taxes to fight "man-made global warming." Its horrible to look at but it seems to me to be all too true. This is the new world that the left has been building all these years:

In western culture, ethical and moral standards used to be anchored to the real world (i.e., to reality); but in the postmodern wilderness in which the political left and most of its most visible spokespeople--i.e., leaders in the Democratic Party-- wander aimlessly, ethics and morality are relative and "anchored" to feelings and whim; which inevitably unleashes the baser and more vile aspects of human nature.

The 20th century became the playground (and litter box) for the narcissist; and by the time the 21st century rolled around, malignant narcissism was not even considered deviant, it had gone mainstream. Since psychopathology continually evolves and worsens if it is not confronted and dealt with, what we have now in our culture, particularly the political system, is the endstage of psychological evolution under postmodernism: the sociopath who disguises his or her sociopathy by selflessness (now marketed as "hope and change").

These selfless sociopaths are people who couldn't care less about the individual human being. Individual human beings are expendable; even vast numbers of them--as long as they stand in the way of the implementation of the sociopath's great ideas and compassionate execution of those ideas. They are the fodder that can be used to build "great" societies, utopian fantasies and collectivist wet-dreams.

It used to be that with the rise of civilization, political sociopaths--selfless and selfless-- were (thankfully) few and far between. Even so, when they appeared in history, they wreaked havoc and destroyed lives with great abandon for "the greater good". Needless to say, a central aspect of the 'greater good' was always the advancement of their own glorious self and their ideas.

We can thank primarily the political left and its useful idiots for the persistent, unyielding, and willful celebration of--and ultimately mainstreaming of--malignant narcissism. We have entered the age of postmodern sociopathy and nihilism.

What does it matter if the lives and freedoms of so many individuals are sacrificed to the murderous oppressors of the world? If you "kick out the wealthy" then you have the wonderful socialist paradise of Cuba; or the magnificent utopia of North Korea with all their misery, poverty, oppression and leftist enlightenment!

Under the "enlightened" and "progressive" left, wealth will be redistributed and the human mind enslaved--but so what? As the eminent leftist and quintessential nihilist Joseph Stalin once remarked, "Death solves all problems - no man, no problem."

You may have heard, Fathima is the teen that converted to Christianity and fled to Florida in fear of her father killing her. He had beat her before. Honor killings are not exactly rare. We hear story after story of mosques being used by Islamofascists to push jihad here and in Europe.

The Noor Center's release says that "hate groups appear to be using this family matter as an opportunity to attack the Muslim community and Islamic organizations in order to further their religious and political goals."

So you see, if you are understandably wary of murderous Islamofascists, who have repeatedly lied, created moderate muslim front organizations, sued to impliment sharia law and have no trouble offing their women if they step outa line, well...

...you hate ALL muslims!

I am all for domestic partnerships for same-sex couples, but to me, marriage between a man and woman is inherently different.

And then there's that "shared responsibility" thing. There IS no individual responsibility. That would be mean. Someone buys a house they can't afford and defaults? That's partly your fault, you greedy bastard.
